I tried doing this a few years back. The plan was to review every Triple J feature album for 2008. I made a good start of it too. The problem was sometimes I couldn't get the album for a few weeks after it was featured, it wasn't always the kind of thing I wanted to listen to or review, and because I was making myself write a thousand words for every review it got stretched pretty thin. Eventually I got too far behind and gave up on the whole thing.
I've learned my lessons. This time it's whatever album I want to review. They'll probably be mostly new releases, but who knows. I may discover an old gem, or feel the desperate need to spread the good word on a treasured classic. Also I'm not giving myself a word count or any other stupid rules/guidelines.
Hopefully it goes a little better this time.
